Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas Empty
PostSubject: Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas   Fallout 3 & Fallout New Vegas EmptyThu Mar 10, 2011 4:18 pm

When Fallout 3 was first released, it was one of those games that I overlooked. My friend got a copy, and I asked him wether it was similar to Oblivion (one of my faves!) and he said, it was Oblivion, but set in the future and with guns!! I got a pre-owned copy, (with a Vault-Tec Bobble head, Lunchbox and concept art book) and I loved it from the first moment!! It was a game you could get lost in, do you go find dad? or explore the wasteland, and get pwned by Super Mutants? its your choice. I love games like that, games that give the player a choice. No rush to finish the main story, and with all the DLC available for it, you could spend hours upon hours without even starting the main quest!! The weapons are amazing imo, and the custom weapons are a good touch too Smile The enemies are challenging, but not overly so as to put players off! I think Bethesda did a brillant job with Fallout 3, imo its a well planned, executed game Smile

I did get Fallout: New Vegas on release, and one part of me loved it, yet another part of me found the limited side quests and the short main quest abit of a dissapointment. Dont get me wrong, its still an excellent game, but I think Bethesda could have made it a little longer. I like the addition of weapon mods, iron sights, different level of the same enemy (eg: baby deathclaw, alpha male deathclaw) and the Hardcore mode (which is a little misleading imo "Finish the game on Hardcore mode, without changing the difficulty and receive a reward" which I did, and all I got was a meesly 100 gamerscore...pfft thanks Bethesda...such a great reward!).

IF it was a longer story line, and we get some quality DLC like in FO3, then I may consider getting it again. But, for the time being, Fallout 3 FTW Smile
