Picked this up cheap last week, and I've been enjoying it so far Its a city (well, island) building sim, you play El Presidente and the goal is to make money and keep your population happy... be that by building nice houses, or creating more jobs.
You control all exports, such as tobacco, oil, iron, gold, and sugar, and you can build furniture factories, cigar factories, and rum distilaries Its not everyones cup of tea, but I enjoy building sims You make an "avatar" from limited choices, and during the game you can vist places or people which is a nice touch
Gameplay of Tropico 3:
And, next month Tropico 4 hits the shelves
Heres the trailer:

Its just something different than FPS games A game where you haven't got to think too much! I enjoy it I build a few mines and farms, then leave it alone for awhile, then add more buildings as and when I need too
Tropico 4 does look like they've improved a few things, in 3 the buildings menu is a little clunky IMO, and menu navigation is a little confusing too
